I seem to be having trouble posting pictures. So until I figure out why, please review the link to my flickr account. I would love feed back good or bad on my pictures. I hate just getting "fluffy" reviews. I want to learn and take better pictures. So all feedback is appreciated.
Thank you so much!
Becca
Fluff... hmmm how to avoid the fluff ;) You have a natural eye for capturing nature and I love the lamp post photo... I think that counts as fluff! One thought I had when I looked through for the 18th time trying to come up with constructiveness is to watch shadowing and make sure it's intentional. The one photo that stood out most in is the little Chinese dragon has some sun spots on it's head and they can detract from the main subject. Super light/blown spots often draw my eye first before the main subject. You also capture color well and with that can sometimes come clutter. Watching the background of a photo can sometimes be just as important as the subject. Having things in the background that may detract from the subject has always been hard for me to avoid but I am like a little tornado now and come in moving stuff and rearranging to make the scene just right ;) Honestly though Becca, you're going to rock photo school!
ReplyDeleteMe next Ashley! I would love your input on my stuff....sometimes I feel confident and other times I feel like a failure...like, on a daily basis! Such a roller coaster...

ReplyDeleteOh Lisa, Lisa, Lisa! I don' think we would be good artists if we didn't have that little bit of self doubt ;) I go through that ALL the time and often am just wishing there was something I could do to improve but I am so inside my work that I can't really step back and see what needs fixing sometimes. I know there's something but "what" I can't pinpoint. I often need that extra set of eyes to move me out of a rut or get my creativity flowing again. I'd love us to help each other with that... maybe that can be our next "assignment". We can each choose a photo, if we want to, and we can all give any thoughts on how to improve it. I also love doing edit swaps, maybe we can do that too. I'll start working on a post for that. But Lisa, your last session with that girl, the one you said you had posing trouble with I think, was amazing! It's okay to pat yourself on the back sometimes too!
the roller coaster..ha ha .....me too! I agree with Ashley- we all go through it! and it is NOT always easy!
