New Photos

I've realized that I have not been on here recently and I wanted to update everyone on my life and photography. This past month has been CRAZY, the Lord is just really showing me that I am not in control of ANYTHING! I was given a job opportunity, worked it for about a month then let go of because of a mistake the organization made. Now I am living in Freshman housing on campus and mentoring the girls that I live with, all the while not having really any of my existing friends and relying on God in every way. The good thing is school is going great and I've been able to do a bit of photography, here was my most recent "Country Girl Shoot":

Let me know what you guys think! Any feed back please?

  1. I think these are lovely photos and I think you're even lovely-er :) So happy you're learning and being challenged in your faith, that's a sure sign that God's working in your heart and the fact that you're aware of it is even better!I love these photos, the feel and the country-esque setting... really awesome location selection! I might suggest going out to this location a bit later when the sun has just barely set. Those sun shadows are pretty harsh and I can see one of the gals is squinting a bit when she's facing the sun. If you wait a bit longer and that sunshine is just out of sight the light will be so amazing! You've got that California sunshine girl, work with it :) The other thing I am noticing is that some of the portraits might be a bit underexposed. That's probably because that sunshine was so bright in the background that it was hard to tell where you were at exposure wise, for the subject? When that happens to me I just play for a minute, overexpose then underexpose then find the happy medium. That's the nice thing about digital, I can shoot until I'm content and not worry about paying money for every shot like I would be with film!I know you love that sun flare :) It's beautiful!!Keep up that good work!

  2. These are beautiful. The suggestions that Ashley made are just what will take beautiful shots like yours to perfect ones. I seem to have made similar mistakes recently and was not sure what it was that was needed to give them the extra "pop". Ashleys suggestions on your photos was just the key. :)

I will add you to my prayer list I know what it is like to only rely on God and not have your friends around. God is gracious! It is during these times He shows up the most(at least in my life).

    Keep up the great work!
